Carla Cook sings standards beautifully – but she doesn’t stop there. A native Detroiter, she grew up in a musically rich and diverse environment, and brings all her influences to bear within her repertoire. She has received a Grammy nomination for Best Jazz Vocal Performance, and was awarded the AFIM Indie Award for Best Jazz Vocal. She has worked with many notable artists, including Jimmy Heath, Steve Wilson, Regina Carter, Lionel Hampton and Wynton Marsalis.
