Mark Lockheart first came to prominence in the mid 1980s with the influential big band Loose Tubes. Since then he has been at the forefront of contemporary jazz, working with greats such as Django Bates, Kenny Wheeler and Norma Winstone. He is also much in demand outside of Jazz, recording and performing with folk and pop artists including June Tabor, Stereolab, Jah Wobble, Robert Wyatt, Prefab Sprout, Thomas Dolby and Radiohead.
