Norma is widely acknowledged as one of Europe’s finest and most versatile vocalists. She pioneered a new approach to wordless vocals in jazz, as well creating countless word-settings with Kenny Wheeler, Ralph Towner and John Taylor. She has been recognised with many awards including Best Vocalist in the BBC Jazz Awards, and in 2007 was awarded an MBE.
